Liberty Nut Butter was created to solve a problem that most people didn’t even know they had. The problem was that millions of people every day were consuming low quality, high preservative and additive, tasteless nut butters. The solution was to create a rich and creamy product that used only the highest quality ingredients, nuts and all natural sweetener.
Our Story
It Started With a Mother’s Day Meal
Liberty Nut Butter was born not in a lab or factory — but in a kitchen filled with love, healing, and the desire to do something meaningful for someone we cherish.
Just weeks before her first Mother’s Day, my wife underwent an emergency C-section to deliver our first child. While she recovered in bed, I wanted to surprise her with her favorite comfort meal: southern-style sweet potato casserole — always topped with pecans.
Wanting to take it one step further, I had the idea to create a smooth pecan swirl that would melt into the casserole, enhancing the sweetness and adding richness without the need for added sugar. That simple idea turned into an innovation that would change our lives forever.

The First Batch of Pecan Butter
After experimenting in our kitchen, we created something special: a rich, creamy, sugar-free spread made with the highest quality pecans and an all natural healthy sugar alternative sweetener. It was smooth, flavorful, and unlike anything we had ever tasted — and it quickly became a permanent replacement for peanut butter in our home. We started sharing it with friends and family, giving away small jars with no label, no branding — just the spread itself. The response was overwhelming. People didn’t just like it. They wanted more.
From Our Kitchen to the Community
Fueled by the support of the people around us, we decided to take a chance. We packaged our first 300 jars and brought them to our local farmers market. In a single week, we sold every jar.
